Nirvana Organic Farm provides a wonderful lifestyle for Deb & Quentin. It is where 4.5 Ha at Heathfield in the Adelaide Hills can provide an income from its diverse orchards coupled with a unique lifestyle at nature's pace. For the past 28 years Deb & Quentin have enjoyed satisfying work flanked by our faithful hounds, our own fresh food to enjoy, food to preserve, homemade beer & fruit wines, great spaces to relax & watch the antics of the poultry or observe a multitude of native wildlife while enjoying the seasonal rhythms of the Adelaide Hills.

Just as ripeness is all in a parsnip or a pear, almost the whole value of some crops is in their fleeting freshness. The time to pick young string beans is when the water to cook them in is already boiling. One harvests the salad leaves when the table is set and the birds are flying home in the twilight. I seldom manage to serve peas for dinner, because the children eat them all in the garden . standing by the vines and grazing.'
